Fruition Showcase (Check all the sites built with Notion + Fruition)

If you want a clean typed website with minimum effort, get it done with Notion + Fruition in less than 10 minutes.

Notion is a great workspace where you can create, plan, and is the 2020 version of Evernote. I have been using it for over 2 years to organize my notes but realized that you can easily make a personal website.

Fruition created by Stephen Ou is an awesome open-source toolkit that deploys your Notion website for free. This tutorial is for anyone but you will have to do some ‘technical’ setups.

Below are some examples of websites on Notion + Fruition.

Let’s get started.

  1. Sign up for a Notion account
Notion.so

2. Create your first page. I used the Personal → Personal Home template

3. Add your simple text/change cover photo/add hyperlinks.

My example page

4. Press the Share button in the right-hand corner of your page and toggle “Share to Web”

5. Head over the documentation for Fruition. The toolkit has been very well documented well and easy to follow.

6. After you follow all the steps on Fruition, you should be set up and working with a live site :)

There are benefits and drawbacks to this method as it is self-managed and not as easy to optimize for SEO. Check out Super if you want that solution.

However I think for something you can deploy in 10 minutes for free is a great start and definitely 10x better compared to setting up (and paying) for a Wordpress, Wix, Webflow, or Squarespace site.

Enjoy and comment on your website creations below and I will definitely check them out :)
